Saint Columba School's 5th-grade Social Studies class is learning about the culture of ancient Egypt. as part of their studies, they have created their own names using ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. The students painted paper with diluted coffee to give the paper the "ancient look". After that, the students took the antiqued paper, and using the hieroglyphic alphabet they drew their names using those hieroglyphic symbols. Here in the center is Gemma Troianin working on her name with Cael Williams at the left and Audrey Wallace all working on their names in hieroglyphics.
