This year, we present our school’s homage to Brandon Stanton’s “Humans of New York” books and blog. The 36 Faces|36 Stories idea was pitched by our English teacher Sam Bidleman to encourage our students to experiment, to try something new, something other than our usual article-format type of journalism. Using first-person narratives taken from interviews, summarized into compelling and often powerful pieces that are complemented by portraits and archive images from each interviewee was a challenging assignment for everyone. Rising freshman Elise Ferdock is this edition’s top editor. We hope you enjoy our efforts.
