From Our Principal
To all of our dedicated Saint Columba School families,
Welcome to a new and exciting year at Saint Columba School. We believe in promoting a quality and safe learning experience for all. We understand that school will be unique this year. I know we will be successful in educating your child with all the required Covid-19 mandatory guidelines in place.
We have several new staff members added to our Saint Columba School family. We greet each of them with a warm and heartfelt welcome.
Mr. Michael Zeares is moving from being the Physical Education teacher to now becoming our Middle School Science teacher. Mr. Zeares comes with great knowledge of science as he has an extensive science background and has been a positive influence on our school community. We are very proud and confident that Mr. Zeares will have continued success at Saint Columba School.
Mrs. Jill Trapane, has previously taught music at Holy Family Consolidated School and Saint Columba School. Mrs. Trapane has an extensive professional music career. We are very blessed to have Mrs. Trapane join our Saint Columba family as our Music and Library teacher.
Mrs. Julia Van Buren is an alumnus of Saint Columba School. Mrs. Van Buren comes with thorough knowledge in the Art field. Mrs. Van Buren is also very active in athletics. We are very fortunate that Mrs. Van Buren is joining our Saint Columba family as our Art and Physical Education teacher.
Mrs. Kathleen Gaughenbaugh has been a blessing for Saint Columba School. She set the standards for quality teaching, as well as going above and beyond for our beautiful school. We applaud Mrs. Gaughenbaugh on her retirement from Saint Columba School, and we wish her much happiness. God bless you Mrs. Gaughenbaugh, and thank you very much for everyone you have inspired at Saint Columba School throughout the years.
At this time we are in need of a Middle School English teacher. If you know of anyone who would best be able to become part of our Saint Columba School family, please have them contact the school office at 570-784-5932.

We will not have in-person Back to School Night or a zoom meeting. We will go digital as much as possible this school year through our school website: www.saintcolumbaschool.org. Please utilize our website as much as possible for important information on school happenings.
Anyone who would like to donate to Saint Columba School for the entire school, we are in need of saranwrap, tissues, hand sanitizers, masks, water bottles, Clorox wipes, paper towels, and any additional classroom supplies. Thank you in advance for your generous donations.
Please make sure your child(ren) are aware of following all the guidelines set in place for their safety:
